Job Description


University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) at Sac State is seeking an Information Technology Systems Analyst for the UNION Well Inc.  The University Union facility, totaling approximately 183,000 square feet, currently houses food service operations, retail operations, 14 meeting spaces (divisible to make 21 meeting spaces), Associated Students, Inc., Student Organizations and Leadership offices, Women’s Resource Center, PRIDE Center, the State Hornet newspaper, KSSU Student Radio, Public Information Desk, Games Room, Gallery and Exhibit Lounge, Terminal Lounge (music/video digital media), Student Computer Lounge, Meditation Room, computer and printer workstations throughout the building, a University Police Service Center, and various open lounge spaces.  The University Union is currently in the finishing stages of a near 45,000 sq. ft. expansion set to open in January 2019.The WELL, totaling approximately 150,000 square feet, houses three fitness studios, a cardio suite, two fitness floors, a multi-activity court, four basketball courts, a rock climbing wall, four racquetball courts, an indoor running track, locker rooms, and conference center.  In addition, The WELL is also home to Student Health and Counseling Services and Peak Adventures. The facilities provide services to over 30,000 students, faculty and staff on campus.

Pay Rate: $4,267 to $6,401 per month

Duties:

The Information Technology (IT) Services Systems Analyst provides significant, daily support to the Manager, Information Technology Services, in the maintenance, management, and implementation of IT systems for the Union WELL Inc. The position reports to, and receives general direction from, the Manager, Information Technology Services. This position provides work direction to part-time IT student assistants.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or related area or equivalent experience.   Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining Windows Server 2008/2012 and Ubuntu Server operating systems.  Experience working with database applications and servers, including Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher, and MySQL.  Demonstrated experience using web content management systems, the LAMP stack (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP), and Internet Information Services.  Demonstrated ability to support a web development shop and maintain Windows and Linux web servers, including maintenance, load balancing, database connectivity, and web statistic reporting.  Demonstrated experience in automating tasks on Windows and Linux servers using scripting tools.  Demonstrated experience with the analysis of user needs and feasibility studies. Demonstrated experience with software evaluation, procurement, installation, and maintenance.  Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of information systems and development of applications.  Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of a computer network system; train users and provide user support in the utilization of software and hardware; and research and resolve problems with hardware and software operations and breakdowns.  Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the design, maintenance, and use of computer networks; in the determination of capabilities and adaptability of software packages and utilities; in performing system troubleshooting and repair, software installation, maintenance and support, and in the principles of training.
