SUMMARY: Performs AV support for events, programs, and ASI & SC staff needs. The duties and responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned. This position reports directly to the SC Facility & Event Services Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Directly supervises the SC AV Student Technician(s) by hiring, training, facilitating meetings, and delegation of work.
* Conducts performance evaluations, sets area goals, leads, and monitors workflow. Schedules student assistants and provides support during absences.
AV Responsibilities:
* Plans, coordinates, sets up, and supervises all technical aspects of events or programs in the Student Center facilities to include the Event Center, the Warrior Stage, the Warrior Steps, the Warrior Lawn and the Quad.
* Coordinates technical checks with clients and operates equipment during events to include all necessary visual and sound components.
* Ensures clients, students, and staff are able to connect to the systems in the conference rooms and troubleshoots as needed.
* Coordinates with OIT and contractors to set up new equipment installations and configurations.
* Routinely tests equipment to ensure proper operations including running audio, video, and signal tests to ensure high quality.
* Maintain AV equipment by monitoring equipment health and perform minor repairs as needed.
* Communicates between ASI and SC and campus OIT to address concerns with AV equipment and access.
Other Technical Responsibilities:
* Coordinates access to Key Watcher key card control system, add and remove student staff and troubleshoot issues as needed.
* Works with the following SC facility systems as directed: building lighting system, paging system, house music, and key card access software.
* Communicates with campus OIT to ensure the SC has the ability to provide all requested services for events and programs (ex. recording events, live-streaming, etc.).
* Coordinates communications between ASI & SC and Campus OIT to address concerns with access to AV equipment.
* Assists with Wi-Fi set up and access for reservations and events to include requesting SSID in the Valley Multiuse Conference Rooms and Event Center.
Administrative:
* Meets regularly with SC Facility & Event Services staff to review upcoming A/V needs for reservations and programs.
* Meets weekly with SC Facility & Event Services Supervisor to review upcoming event needs and weekly work schedule.
* Provides on-sight, day-of event management and logistical support, to assist the Facility & Event Services Office, during and outside of normal operating hours to ensure proper setup and coordination of requested services and that groups are complying with reservation and facility use policies and relevant campus policies as directed.
* Utilizes the 25Live computerized reservation system and Social Tables software to communicate and plan for upcoming audio visual event needs.
* Interprets and advises groups on SC reservation and facility use policies, procedures, expectations, and relevant campus policies.
* Develops and implements an on-going effective preventative maintenance and purchasing plan for all audio visual equipment. Make recommendations for the purchase of updated or new equipment.
* Maintains conference room equipment and conducts related training in the SC facilities and Quad and tracks SC equipment inventory.
* Works with staff and various campus constituents to understand user issues and develop solutions.
* Provides friendly end-user technical support.
* Attends all scheduled staff meetings.
* Attends leadership retreats, training orientations, workshops, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge of AV equipment, including cameras, lighting, and software
* Customer Service experience, preferably in a technical environment, is desired.
* Knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems.
* Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to quickly learn and adapt to a constantly changing technological world.
* Technology skills in up-to-date computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, image processing, and basic programming preferred.
* Ability to problem-solve technical difficulties, audio visual, computer hardware, and software.
* Possess good decision-making skills and be able to maintain high quality standards with basic supervision.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Provides professional and courteous support to CSU students, faculty, and staff requesting assistance.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment, including computer, telephone, copiers.
This position will work evenings and weekends depending on business needs. Hours may vary.
Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the campus areas during student programs, continuous contact with other staff, students, faculty, and the public.
